Tis’ my favorite season of the year; lavender season! I just can’t get enough of it. Lavender only blooms from July to August – leaving a very small window to stock up on fresh bundles. It is best known for its calming qualities. Lavender can help relieve stress, and anxiety. I highly recommend getting lavender essential oil, and applying it to wrists/under jaw when feeling anxious. This works like a charm for me! I am a rather anxious person (unfortunately) and prefer to take a holistic approach to pretty much everything. I have found that lavender helps immensely with my anxiety. Not to mention it smells like heaven! Luckily for Oregonians there are quite a few lavender fields in the area that are open to the public, and they all are stunning! I hope to visit every single one. I recently drove out to Mt. Hood to experience Lavender Valley. This place is extra magical because the lavender field sits at the base of the mountain. It wasn’t even fully bloomed when I went, and I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was! You can even cut your own lavender! I like to use fresh lavender for candles, and infused coconut oil. You can grind it up into a powder and pretty much put it in anything. I am constantly amazed by the power of plants and all their medicinal uses. If you are striving to live a more natural life style always look into organic ways to help with any ailments you may have. I guarantee there is a plant out there that could benefit you in some way! I believe in the power of lavender so much that I even permanently put it on my body… That’s dedication!
